Ultra-Trail Australia 2018
For the second year in a row I had the privilege of heading to the Blue Mountains to shoot Ultra-Trail Australia part of the Ultra-Trail World Tour for Lyndon from Marceau Photography.
I thought that I would put together a small series of a few of my favourite images from the weekend for anyone that wasn't lucky enough to experience it.
Pace UTA22
The first event on Friday was the Pace UTA22. Starting off the event Dave King conducted a traditional smoke ceremony.
Well done to all the runners in the Pace UTA22, hopefully you all got to enjoy the scenary as much as I did!.
50km and 100km
The following day were the 50 & 100km races. Once again the weather was looking good with hardly a cloud in the sky, although it was a bit chilly, the conditions were near perfect for running.
Check out this short timelapse I created of runners passing through Leura forrest between 1am and 3am!
I hope these images either inspire you to get out there and try something like this or bring back good memories of your day, it takes a lot of training and commitment to even get to the start line so i congratulate everyone that did. I hope to be able to experience this event and its amazing atmosphere again in years to come.
