Tarawera Ultra Marathon 2023
This year was a bit different for me as I wasn’t running or shooting the event for anyone so I decided to set myself a challenge.
This year I thought I would try to shoot images in Black and White only and use a couple of cameras that are definitely not your standard for sports photography. My Fujifilm X100f and Leica M240p
The day was perfect for it with some nice soft patches of light coming through the trees. I started off using the Leica M240p, being manual focus I would pre focus on a spot I knew the runners would pass through and try to have the focal plain along the path they would take as this allowes for a couple of shots to be taken.
The hero of the day though was the X100f, I love this camera so much! there is so much camera packed into a small package, if I could only have one camera it would be this and it is probably going to be the camera that makes me sell all my Nikon gear to move to Fuji.
